National Council of Visual Arts Professions
What is the National Council of Visual Arts Professions? Created by decree for a period of five years, the National Council of Visual Arts Professions is a body placed with the Minister responsible for culture and which can be consulted by the Government on any matter concerning the visual arts sector as well as professionals in this sector.
Its role
The National Council of Visual Arts Professions may be consulted by the Government and give opinions and recommendations on any matter concerning the visual arts sector and professions.
The opinions and recommendations of the Council may come from all or part of the trade union and professional organisations represented on it.
The Council may propose to the Minister responsible for culture any study it considers necessary in its field of competence.
Its operation
The Council is chaired by the Minister responsible for culture or his representative.
It meets at least once a year.
The work of the Council is coordinated by an office chaired by the Director-General for Artistic Creation or his representative.
The board meets every two months.
The Council may set up working parties within the Council, in accordance with the procedures laid down in its Rules of Procedure and for a fixed period, to deal with particular subjects.
The work of the working groups shall be forwarded to the members of the Council.
