The three directors of the house who succeeded each other from 1969 to 1981 inherited a triple handicap: the disappearance of a major engine represented by a permanent professional theatre troupe, increasing financial burdens and increasing scepticism among those involved. The year 1968-69 was the year of liquidations: the number of members fell, the Almanach ceased to appear as a magazine and Bourges was deprived of its national drama centre.”
