Regional Scientific Commission for Restoration and Acquisition
Mis à jour le
The ministry monitors the regional collections through the organization of two scientific commissions governed by the Book IV of the regulatory part of the Heritage Code : the "acquisition" commission and the "restoration" commission.
According to these texts, any project of restoration, preventive conservation and acquisition of a museum of France must necessarily be presented before these commissions. Only those acquisition projects which have received a favourable opinion from the interregional scientific committee are eligible for financial assistance from FRAM/FRAR.
