The Prefect of the Guadeloupe Region is obliged to cancel all the events and visits planned as part of the European Heritage Days from this day, given the expected severe weather conditions on our territory as tropical storm Fiona approaches.

We are aware of the disappointment this represents for the many participants of this edition, knowing the important work they carried out to organize these days, however the safety of Guadeloupeans remains the priority. The prefect will consider the possibility of postponing the Heritage Days at a later date.

More than 70 events were planned to make everyone discover or rediscover historical monuments or heritage homes, traditions and centuries-old know-how.

The DAC services remain at the disposal of project promoters and participants for any further information.
