Regional Conservation of Historical Monuments
The Regional Conservation of Historic Monuments (CRMH) ensures the protection, conservation, restoration and enhancement of historic monuments.
- Under the Heritage Code (using the terms of the 1913 Act on Historical Monuments), it investigates protection cases submitted to the Regional Commission on Heritage and Architecture (CRPA), under the chairmanship of the regional prefect.
- She identifies and studies the movable objects to protect, investigates the files of the departmental commissions of movable objects (CDOM), in liaison with the curators of Antiquities and Objects of Art.
- In the field of restoration, it draws up technical, legal and financial work programmes for classified historic monuments and ensures the conduct and control of these operations in liaison with the chief architects of historic monuments, the architects of French buildings, the curators of historic monuments and the curators of antiquities and art objects.
- It authorizes, controls and possibly subsidizes restoration work on monuments included in the additional inventory.
- It designs, stimulates or supports the implementation of any action of knowledge or valorization of the patrimony.
