1,2,3 and 4 Reading nights » !
The next Nights of Reading, organized for the 2th by the National Book Centre (CNL) on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, will hold 19 to 22 January 2023 during four evenings, with a highlight on Saturday, January 21.
More than ever necessary, these Nights of Reading will go on to conquer new readers and will reaffirm, among all, the essential place of book and reading in our lives, as the President of the Republic has wished by declaring the reading “great national cause”.
The 7th edition on the theme : «The fear »
The public will be invited to gather at thousands of physical and digital events around the theme of fear:
From tales and albums for children to fantastic stories, from dystopian sci-fi sagas to police investigations, to contemporary stories and essays that deal with intimate and collective bones in the face of crises we are going through, the motive of fear permeates the literature and invites us to explore all forms of narration, all formats of reading… especially at night !
The fear of not having enough books to read has a name. It’s abibliophobia.
Special attention will be paid to reading aloud.
