From 8 to 13 April, the brive festival presents a unique programme between French and international films (10 countries represented), including 22 films in competition. Six days of screenings, meetings and events will take place this Saturday, April 13 at the awards ceremony, including the Grand Prix of the Brive Festival, at the Rex cinema in Brive-la-Gaillarde (Corrèze).
A transversal film festival
Created in 2004, the Brive festival is the first festival dedicated to medium films (30 to 60 minutes). For this 21e publishing, one of the main challenges is to welcome an increasingly diverse audience. For this, the festival proposes to make the artistic disciplines dialogue through film concerts, writing residencies, film dances, exhibitions, etc., but also by offering sessions for schools via education to the image.
Professionals at the heart of the festival
Recognized by the National Film and Animated Image Centre (CNC) as a festival of prime importance, the Brive Film Festival is committed to supporting professionals in the sector. For this, workshops are offered, such as «Pitch your film!», which trains directors to present their project in order to convince professionals and the festival audience. Other proposals, such as screenwriting residencies, are co-organized with the Brive Book Fair, in partnership with the municipality, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the CNC.
