Architecture, landscape, urban planning, living environment and environment The Architecture department of the DRAC is responsible for the implementation of public policies concerning architecture, coordination of actions promoting the architectural quality and quality of life in the region.
At the Regional Council of the Order of Architects (CROA), he represents the Government Commissioner in various bodies (ordinal meetings, legal monitoring, etc.) and participates and accompanies the actions of the Order.
In conjunction with the coordinator of the Commission régionale du patrimoine et de l'architecture (CRPA), the Advisor for Architecture receives, investigates and follows appeals against the opinions of architects of French buildings issued in protected spaces. As such, it follows up on the second section of the RCAP, both on the remedies and on any architectural projects that may be submitted to the commission and ensures its secretariat.

Highlighting the Architecture network in Hauts-de-France
The Advisor for Architecture animates the Architecture networks in the region. It promotes its transversality and partnership, thus making Architecture and its actors in Hauts-de-France more visible, accessible and identifiable.
It makes the various structures in charge of architecture adhere to the various national and regional actions in order to give them more scope and visibility.
The Architecture network is based in Hauts-de-France on its main players: the CROA, the National School of Architecture and Landscape of Lille (ENSAPL), the Maison de l'architecture des Hauts-de-France, WAAO, the 5 Councils in architecture, town planning and environment (CAUE) and their regional union, the architects of the Buildings of France and their service (UDAP) but also on the services of the Cities and Countries of Art and History (VPAH) of the region, the Regional Natural Parks (PNR), other State services (DTT(M), DREAL, etc. ) and their consulting architects and universities.
Backup and Enhancement Plan
The Advisor for Architecture participates in the policy of creation and modification of Remarkable Heritage Sites (SPR, ex-ZPPAUP and AVAP).
It ensures awareness of the tool and informs communities about the procedures and hears requests for financial support for the implementation of the CPS. He represents the DRAC in the local commissions of the SPR. The architects of the buildings of France ensure the technical monitoring of the SPR.
For SPR with Protection and Development Plan (PSMV), the Architecture Advisor participates in the elaboration of the parts of the public contract when the State is the contracting authority. It follows the procedure, both for creation and for revisions and extensions.
He also ensures the presentation of the file in CRPA (1st section) and in national commission (CNPA).
Remarkable Heritage Sites Guide
Two architects-councils of the State come in reinforcement of the advisor for Architecture in the Hauts-de-France. Their expertise and the specific perspective given to them by the practice of the profession as a liberal are used both in the network’s facilitation missions and in the preparation of reports for RCAP.
The Advisor for Architecture coordinates and organizes the College of Urban Architects of the State within the DRAC, chaired by the regional director.
This college aims to share and promote the exchange and transversality around certain themes between 5 UDAP in order to develop common doctrines.
In addition to these missions, it also participates in the implementation of numerous measures to improve the living environment: Coeur de Ville operations, ANRU projects related to city policy, measures on town centres, etc.
It is associated with architectural competition juries, possibly in conjunction with the DRAC sector advisor.
He participates in the actions of Artistic and Cultural Education set up in the field of architecture, urban planning or landscape.
With the service of the Regional Conservation of Historical Monuments, he brings his expertise to the scientific committee in charge of the label Outstanding Contemporary Architecture (ACR – ex Label Patrimoine XXe).
National Days of Architecture
The Architecture department coordinates the National Days of Architecture (3rd weekend of October).
This national event makes it possible to highlight all actions in the field of architecture (exhibitions, visits to buildings, visits to construction sites, conferences, open doors for architectural agencies, developing Arts and Cultural Education activities for all audiences, but also specifically for the school public with the Raise-the-Eyes feature, etc.)
