The chapel of the Archconfraternity of Saint-Joseph de Beauvais, located rue Nully d'Hécourt
Joseph-Armand Claverie, chaplain of the Saint-Joseph school of the Brothers of the Christian Schools of Beauvais, and Bishop Joseph-Armand Gignoux of Beauvais, initiated the construction of a chapel for the Archconfraternity of Saint-Joseph, erected by Pope Pius IX in 1859. Victor and Paul Delefortrie build between 1859 and 1887 a sober and refined Neo-Gothic chapel, inspired by the radiant Gothic of the XIIIe century and the restorations of Eugene Viollet-le-Duc in Picardy. The chapel is remarkable for the profusion, coherence and artistic quality of its interior decoration, whose donor coats of arms bear witness to the history of its construction and whose wall paintings by Brother Athanasius and stained glass windows by Raphaël Lardeur contribute to the renewal of French Christian art throughout the 19th centurye and XXe centuries.
Inscription in title of the historic monuments of the chapel in its entirety, as well as of the bahut wall and the entrance portal with the right-of-way on the floor of the alley that connects the chapel to the portal by order of 9 June 2022.
