What is the Armarium?
AR2L has developed theArmarium, the Digital Library of Written, Graphic and Literary Heritage, as part of the Calls for Projects Written Heritage of the Book and Reading Service of the Ministry of Culture, and the Calls for Projects PNV and ADNI of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC) Hauts-de-France. This project is also supported by the Hauts-France Regional Council.
The Armarium offers access to digitized documents from partner institutions in Hauts-de-France. The library is fed as it goes by the digitized resources held in the region’s heritage institutions. All written heritage materials are represented: manuscripts, printed books, maps and plans, iconographic documents, press, etc.
The DRAC accompanied the AR2L in the design phase of the Armarium but also in the digitization process of the documents presented there.
