The Trait d'Union Media Library was inaugurated in the presence of Jean Claude Leroy, President of the Departmental Council of Pas-de-Calais and Jean-François Raffy sub-prefect of Lens.
Open to the public since November 2021, Le Trait d'Union is a multi-service space bringing together the media library, conservatory and youth and sport services. This project initiated ten years ago was finally inaugurated on Saturday, September 24 on the occasion of a festive day that allowed the inhabitants to discover the places or to continue to appropriate them by taking advantage of the many activities organized.
The media library spreads over 1300m2 in a contemporary spirit. Clear and readable, it offers a qualitative document offer. The Trait d'Union Media Library is also oriented towards gaming in all its forms and towards digital.
The DRAC Hauts-de-France was involved in the financing of the development of the media library of the Treaty of Union of Vendin-le-Veil, part of the public reading network of the Lens-Liévin Agglomeration Community engaged in a territory-reading contract (CTL).
