The Departmental Unit of Architecture and Heritage of South Corsica
UDAP 2A is a service attached to the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Ajaccio. It is located in Ajaccio. It is composed of a team of three people placed under the authority of an architect of the buildings of France.
Protected areas in South Corsica include:
- The surroundings of 125 listed or inscribed historical monuments
- 3 Notable Heritage Sites (SPR): Ajaccio, Bonifacio and Forciolo
- 8 sites listed and 11 classified
NOTABLE HERITAGE SITES (RPS):
The remarkable heritage sites were created by the law of 7 July 2016 on freedom of creation, architecture and heritage.
This device aims to protect and highlight the architectural, urban and landscape heritage of our territories.
The UDAP publishes advice sheets to accompany the owners in their restoration projects, especially in a remarkable heritage site.

Pre-consultations (PC):
It is recommended that the UDAP be consulted prior to the filing of an application for authorization, whether it is a new construction, an existing building modification, a demolition, the creation of a subdivision, setting up a sign or setting up an outdoor space.
Outside protected spaces, it is advisable to contact the CAUE, which provides free architectural advice.
This upstream work, made of reciprocal listening and dialogue, usually helps to avoid the blockages that could appear during the processing of files.
