Irene Drésel, resident of Eure-et-Loir, is the first woman to obtain a César of the best original music
A former student of Beaux-Arts and Gobelins, Irene Drésel received on February 24, 2023 the César of the best original music as part of her first composition for cinema for the film "A plein temps".
This presentation marks the history of the Césars, who in their last editions have named six composers, but it was not until the 48th edition that a woman was not only named, but that she won it.
During her speech, Irene Drésel makes a dedication to the lead actress of the film Laure Calamy (also from the Centre-Val de Loire) by quoting " when I composed the BO I had the impression to live exactly the same urgency as the character of Julie so brilliantly interpreted by Laure ".
Originally from Châteauroux, Amélie Bonnin won the César for best short film for her film "Partir un jour", with Bastien Bouillon, Juliette Armanet and François Rollin
Artistic director of the magazine The Breaking WaterShe’s a Castel Oussine director, a woman, and a mother.
In the gallery, Amélie Bonnin gives us a speech that is primarily directed towards her children and that tells us her point of view regarding the vision of women in society, but especially in the world of cinema. Getting this Caesar is for her “a great joy”because “short films are very small budgets, complicated to do from start to finish”.
