A European event...
The Institut national des métiers d'arts created the Journées des métiers d'art in 2002 to highlight to the public the craftsmen present around them, thanks to the opening of workshops and the presentation of often unknown know-how.
This year, the European Craft Days (JEMA) are offering their 18th edition, now organised in around twenty European countries. "At your fingertips'will be the approach of valuing the different techniques and ways of implementing the expertise of the participating professionals. By offering openings of workshops and training establishments, site visits, demonstrations or conferences, they will also emphasize the transmission of this know-how.
A region is particularly honored (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) and a country (portugal).
... declined in Brittany
The JEMA are in the region the most visible public initiative for crafts.
This year, more than 150 events are scheduled in the four Breton departments and many highlights are offered especially on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April.
The Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs of Brittany took an active part in the organization of four of them mobilizing many professionals on exceptional sites. These four proposals are stamped "favorites" of the event.
