Arts and cultural education (EAC) is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Culture.
In Brittany, allowing children to benefit from a coherent and demanding artistic and cultural path during their schooling is already integrated in many schools and many communities. The opportunity to meet artists, craftspeople, or works, of practice arts or techniques, ofacquire and of acquire knowledge, cultural, historical or aesthetic landmarks is now a common approach especially in the field of creation. Actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, visual artists and photographers now frequently contribute to EAC’s actions with schools of all levels.
EAC in the field of heritage, and in that ofarcheology in particular, seems less developed. Also the Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs (DRAC) of Brittany wished to have an inventory of actors, practices and resources to encourage EAC initiatives in the field of archaeology.
