the castle has a rich historical ensemble based on the rock of the old village on the edge of the Rhône.

The Pollet Tower is of definite interest as a component of the ancient castle of the archbishops of Vienna, and that this site, frozen since the sixteenth century, allows to understand the composition and the influence of a complete seigneurial pole, and some of which is already protected as historic monuments.

The whole constituted by the building, the interior decorations and the elements of the landscape treatment contributes to the understanding of the history of the old chartreuse and its operation, on the one hand, and on the other hand that of a country residence of the Lyon upper-middle class of the second half of the 19th century, with all its agricultural economy, integrating these historical vestiges.
