Two months after the opening of the first Micro-Foundation in the Beaudottes district in Sevran, Audrey Azoulay, Minister of Culture and Communication, signed today with Didier Fusillier, President of the Public Establishment of the Park and the Grande Halle de la Villette, a Micro-Fund deployment agreement in a dozen or so cities far from culture or presenting major development challenges.
After Sevran and in view of the popular success of this cultural place of a new kind, modular and hyper-connected, the next town to host this device is the city of Denain, in the Northern department, which will host a Micro-Madness in the walls of his media library from June 2017.
Audrey Azoulay, in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of the City of Denain Anne-Lise Dufour-Tonini, signed the letter-agreement for the establishment of the Micro-Fund in this city of the mining basin, stating: the objective of the Micro-Federation is to bring the best of culture to the inhabitants of Denain, with a promise, that of making all the living forces of the territory work around this unifying project, and a challenge, that of highlighting the creativity of the inhabitants and especially the young.”
Anne-Lise Dufour-Tonini, Deputy Mayor of Denain recalled: the importance of culture in a popular city in recovery and development. Culture for all is at the heart of the city’s current revitalization programme. »
Each Micro-Fund will be different, adapted to the local context and worked with the host local authority. The project, which will be developed there, will be shared with local artists and cultural and socio-cultural actors. The Micro-Folie includes a digital museum combining the Château de Versailles, the Centre Pompidou, the Louvre, the Musée National Picasso - Paris, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Philharmonie de Paris, the RMN - Grand Palais and Universcience. The Ministry of Culture and Communication will support the engineering missions required to calibrate each Micro-Fund, to the tune of €15,000 per project.
