Ronit Elkabetz, generous, inspired and demanding, was a great friend of France. Actress, screenwriter and director, she was one of the most brilliant figures of Israeli cinema, one of its greatest ambassadors around the world.

She loved working with French cinema and there were still beautiful projects. The French public could admire it under the direction of André Téchiné alongside Catherine Deneuve, in The daughter of the RER or as Viviane Amsalemdans Gett, co-produced with his brother Shlomi Elkabetz, the last part of a trilogy launched in 2004.
She defended a certain idea of cinema, independent and committed, looking at the whole world and addressing it by dealing with subjects rooted in the reality of her own universe.
