On a trip to the Avignon Festival, Najat VALLAUD-BELKACEM, Minister of National Education, Higher Education and Research, and Audrey AZOULAY, Minister of Culture and Communication, announced the extension as of 1er January 2017, Pass Education to all members of the educational teams of schools and schools.
Now reserved for teachers only, the Education Pass is a card that allows them to access the permanent collections of more than 160 national museums and monuments free of charge to serve as a lever for arts and cultural education.
The extension of the Pass Education aims to ensure that all members of the educational team, within the staff of the National Education, be able to participate fully in the construction of educational and cultural projects to be carried out with students as part of the artistic and cultural education pathway.
This measure is complementary to the opening of three national museums, among the busiest in the world, to school audiences on the day of their weekly closing. To this end, Najat VALLAUD-BELKACEM and Audrey AZOULAY signed today an agreement with the Louvre Museum, the Musée d'Orsay et de l'Orangerie, as well as the castle, the museum and the national domain of Versailles.
These measures, which will be compensated financially by the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research, will open the doors of creation ever wider, to foster the transmission of a shared artistic and heritage culture and the encounter with works of art and artists.
