Fleur Pellerin, Minister of Culture and Communication, and Jean Bascou, President of Grand Narbonne, in full agreement with the Regional Council of Languedoc-Roussillon and the Departmental Council of Aude, gave their approval to the unanimous proposal of the jury meeting on November 25, 2016 to appoint Marion Fouilland Bousquet as director of the Théâtre, Scène nationale de Narbonne.
In charge of communication and then the production office, and today General Secretary of the National Scene of Sète and the Thau basin, Marion Fouilland Bousquet began her career as a production manager in the field of live entertainment, notably the Malraux space, Scène nationale de Chambéry et de la Savoie, before being responsible for the productions of the Volcan, Scène nationale du Havre.
Marion Fouilland Bousquet’s project is resolutely multidisciplinary. It gives all its place to cinema and the visual arts and their dialogue with the live performance, based on a balance between repertoire, discoveries and a curiosity towards the most original forms of contemporary creation. He is attentive to works for children and youth and reserves a central place for arts and cultural education, considered in the broad sense as an opening of the greatest number to new horizons.
This openness is exemplified by its desire to involve artists in the project, especially those based in the region, to accompany its creation and to invite them to build new modes of exchange with the public.
Thus, Marion Fouillant Bousquet intends to make the Theatre of Narbonne a place that radiates over the city, the agglomeration, the department and the region, while looking at the world, starting with the Mediterranean space.
