At the event “Participatory Philanthropy: All at Work!” , Tuesday, December 9, 2014, Fleur Pellerin, Minister of Culture and Communication, relaunched the ministry’s patronage policy.
On this occasion, Fleur Pellerin presented the distinction of «Donor of Culture» to sixteen representative donors, by the frequency of their donations and their diversity, of the participative patronage movement.
These donors were chosen for their support of the Louvre Museum’s “All Patrons” programme, Heritage Foundation projects, or cultural projects referenced on the Babeldoor donation platforms, KissKissBankBank, My Major Company, proarti, touscoprod, and Ulule. The projects in which they have participated concern both the preservation of our heritage (renovation, purchase of significant pieces, etc.) and artistic projects (launch of a musical album, publication of a literary work, accompaniment of a cultural project, etc.). Their names are now included in the “Circle of Cultural Patrons and Donors”, facilitated by the Ministry of Culture and Communication’s sponsorship mission.
On this occasion, the Minister expressed her ambition for the cultural patronage policy of the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
The Minister announced the creation, before summer 2015, of an online portal that will reference and ensure the promotion of the diversity of patrimonial or artistic projects that the institutions of the Ministry, the major foundations of the cultural sector and the crowdfunding platforms regularly offer to the generosity of the public.
She also presented the “Charter of Cultural Patronage”, established in conjunction with Bercy, which aims to accompany the development of patronage by promoting, on the part of cultural actors, the application of legislation, in accordance with its fundamental principles, in a spirit of respect for the common good, the specificities of cultural organizations and the prerogatives of patrons. This Charter shall apply from this day.
Finally, the Minister wishes to strengthen the dynamic of cultural patronage by signing in 2015 a new five-year agreement with CCI France, the Conseil supérieur de l'ordre des experts-comptables and the Conseil supérieur du notariat, partners of the ministry for ten years, and, for the first time with the National Council of Bars.
This ceremony coincides with the presentation, on December 9, of the charter of corporate philanthropy and individuals of the association Admical, approved by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, and with the 2nd Conference of Participatory Finance, organized by the association Financement participatif France at the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Digital , on December 11.
