On the occasion of the annual meeting of partners of the Office national de diffusion artistique, organized in Avignon with the support of the Festival this Tuesday 15 July, Aurélie Filippetti pays tribute to the action led by Fabien Jannelle at the head of this institution essential for the performing arts in France and salutes Pascale Henrot who will be the next director of ONDA.
The mission of ONDA is to support the dissemination of works that are part of a contemporary creative process that is concerned with artistic requirements. Its field of intervention covers all the disciplines of live performance (theatre, dance, music, circus, street arts), whether these works are created in France or abroad, whether they are aimed at adults or young audiences.
To carry out its missions, ONDA runs a vast professional network in France, Europe and abroad, advises programmers in their artistic choices and artistic teams in their dissemination strategy, organizes meetings of exchange or reflection, and can provide financial guarantees to promote the circulation of shows on the national territory.
After nineteen years of managing ONDA, Fabien Jannelle amplified the great adventure founded and carried out until 1995 by Philippe Tiry. In particular, it has developed the office’s multidisciplinary expertise, its territorial impact in cooperation with regional agencies and offices and finally its European and international influence.
Pascale Henrot was selected by the ONDA Board of Directors on April 18, 2014. His appointment was approved by the Minister of Culture and Communication. Pascale Henrot’s career is marked by strong experiences both with artists and in the management of cultural companies. A pillar of the adventure that made Philippe Decouflé a world-renowned choreographer, she was co-director of the Paris quartier d'été festival from 2000 to 2007 and has directed the Théâtre de la Cité internationale in Paris since the summer of 2008. She will take up her duties as head of ONDA in September.
