A social conflict has been going on for several weeks at Presstalis. The government is concerned about its social, economic and distribution impacts. The press is essential to democratic life and this conflict can jeopardize the entire sector.
This is why the Minister of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue, Michel Sapin and the Minister of Culture and Communication, Aurélie Filippetti, have decided to entrust a mediation mission to Raymond Redding, in light of his knowledge of the sector and his experience in social dialogue.
Raymond Redding, 62 years old and former General Manager of La Poste’s mail, is well acquainted with the press sector with which he negotiated the 2008 press distribution agreements. It is also recognised by the social partners for its social dialogue qualities.
