Device overview
The Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Ile-de-France (DRAC IDF) aims to include the development of specialty and optional artistic teachings in a policy of territorial and cultural equity, in partnership with the rectorats of Paris, Créteil and Versailles.
This shared responsibility is reflected in the joint validation of the teaching map (dance, theatre-dramatic expression, audiovisual cinema, circus arts), the presence of a qualified reference cultural structure, the artistic education project and its follow-up.
The partnership between the high school and the reference cultural structure is the subject of a three-year agreement on artistic teaching, validated by the school’s board of directors. Each year, an amendment to the convention, drafted by the cultural structure and the institution, is transmitted to the DRAC. This amendment is a grant application to the DRAC Ile-de-France for the year 2023/2024.

Only the cultural structures for which there is an artistic education partnership agreement with an Ile-de-France school are eligible.
Procedure
The adaptation to the reform of the general and technological baccalaureate requires that specialty education be reserved for the First and Final levels. The remuneration of participating artists and professionals in this context is entirely paid by the DRAC Ile-de-France. On the other hand, the optional courses and the second pool are co-financed on a par with the rectorats of Paris, Créteil and Versailles.
A flat-rate supplement of 150 € is paid to cultural structures operating in high schools located in the Grand Crown.
The amount of the subsidy paid by the DRAC varies according to the education provided:
- For theatre, dance and circus:
- 11 232 € for a specialty teaching
- 2 268 € for an optional course backed by the specialty
- €1,500 for other optional courses
- 756 € for the second pool (institution without optional education)
- For cinema:
- €10,365 for a specialty course
- €1,500 for an optional course
The grant is paid at the end of the first quarter 2024 for the up-to-date administrative structures.
Applications are automatically accepted because an agreement has already been signed between the school and the cultural structure, subject to having made an assessment of the artistic teaching carried out the previous school year and presented a project for the current year.
- Applications open: 25 September 2023.
- Application deadline: 29 March 2024, 23:59 (Paris time). No file may be filed or taken into account after this date.
- Grant payment: end of first quarter 2024
