The 2022 edition of the prize, under the aegis of the History Committee of the Ministry of Culture, was announced on 1er march 2022.
The jury, chaired by Maryvonne de Saint Pulgent, Chair of the History Committee of the Ministry of Culture, was made up of six qualified personalities in the field of cultural policies:
- Arlette Auduc, Chief Heritage Curator (H), PhD, EPHE;
- Marie Cornu, CNRS Research Director, ISP;
- Pascale Goetschel, Professor of Contemporary History, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Centre d'histoire sociale du XXth century (UMR 8058);
- Nathalie Heinich, CNRS Research Director, Centre de recherche sur les arts et le langage (CRAL-UMR 8566 EHESS/CNRS);
- Jean-Baptiste Minnaert, Professor of Contemporary Art History, Sorbonne University, Director of the André Chastel Centre (UMR 8150);
- Pierre Oudart, Director General of the Institut national supérieur d'enseignement artistique Marseille Méditerranée.
For this fifth edition, the ministry received as in previous years, a large number of applications of very high quality. Following its deliberations on 8 November 2022, the jury selected the following three winners:
- Bérénice Gaussuin : Restore-project. The ways of Eugène Viollet-le-DucPhD thesis in Architecture under the direction of Dominique Rouillard (Paris Est - ENSA Paris-Malaquais).
- Olivier Salomon : Artistic Interpretation and Intellectual Property: An Attempt at a Theory of the Neighbourhood of Exclusive Rights within Literary and Artistic PropertyPhD thesis in private law under the direction of Philippe Gaudrat (University of Poitiers).
- Amélie Thérésine : The International Festival of Francophonies in Limousin: A History of the Making of Francophone African Theatre (1984-2018)PhD thesis in Theatre Studies under the direction of Sylvie Chalaye (University of Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle).
Luc Allaire, Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, presented the prizes to the three laureates on 22 December 2022.
