Frédéric Mitterrand, Minister of Culture and Communication, took note with indignation of the pseudo-judgment of Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi, sentenced to six years in prison and twenty years of prohibition to carry out his job as a director and leave his country, Which is like totally preventing him from expressing his talent.

It vigorously opposes this unacceptable attack on freedom of thought and artistic creation and calls for an end to it, so that the great Iranian filmmaker may be free of his movements and continue to make films, as the filmmakers from all over the world wish, expressing their solidarity and support on every occasion, especially during the last Cannes Film Festival.
