Frédéric Mitterrand spoke today with the Minister of Avignon, Marie-Josée Roig, about the succession of HortenseArchambault and Vincent Baudriller, who were reappointed on 27 October to complete the 2012 and 2013 editions of the Festival d'Avignon.
Following this exchange, the Minister for Culture and
Communication and the mayor of Avignon have jointly decided
to propose to Olivier Py to take responsibility for the Festival
at the end of the mandate of Hortense Archambault and Vincent
Baudriller. The appointment of Olivier Py, if he accepted this
proposal, would be submitted to the next Board of Directors
festival.
