Thirty years of research on cultural policies, cultural practices, cultural expenditures of the State and local authorities, and the economy of culture.
For more than thirty years, the Studies Department of the Ministry of Culture has published a brief newsletter of 4 to 6 pages Cultural development which sought to provide brief information on the results of research work; initially printed in a few hundred copies, its circulation amounted to 20,000 for the last issues.
By leafing through all the downloadable issues below, the reader will be able to read some of the reflections on cultural policies during the second part of XXe century; it contains the first results of surveys on cultural practices, on the cultural expenditures of the State and local authorities, examples of innovation abroad, bibliographical references, reports of major conferences, ... The History committee and the Department of Studies, Foresight and Statistics (DEPS) of the Ministry of Culture considered it useful to digitize the entire collection to facilitate access for students and researchers.
As an extension of this newsletter, DEPS has opted since 2007 for a dematerialized format for four of its synthesis collections, Culture studies, Culture numbers, Prospective culture, Culture methods.
