Tours of the cathedral of Chartres

In the 13th century, Chartres Cathedral inaugurated the series of «classical» cathedrals with high windows. The quality of the carved decoration makes it one of the references of Gothic art. Its classification by UNESCO results from the exceptional harmony between architecture, sculpture and stained glass, celebrated by Péguy and Claudel.
