What is the principle of this call for applications?
Driven by the desire to reduce inequalities in access to art and culture, the Community of municipalities Flanders Lys has set itself the ambitious goal of generalization of an artistic and cultural education for the children, adolescents and young adults of its territory and thus contributing to the constitution of their artistic and cultural education.
In this context, the Community of Communes Flandre Lys, in partnership with, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Hauts-de-France, the Rectorate of the Academy of Lille, the Directorates of the Departmental Services of National Education of North and Pas-Pasde-Calais, research, with a view toa mission residence, an artist or collective of artists whose research and approach are regularly or punctually crossed by an interest in landscape, architecture and living environment. Their artistic approach will question the link, the border, roaming, the architectural and natural landscape.
It is a residence of four full months, consecutive or not, of which the seventeen and a half weeks of physical presence (90 days) are to be restarted over the period of residence between March and July 2025. The attendance schedule will be defined with the selected artist or artist collective.

The context
The community of communes Flandre Lys has been involved in a local arts education contract (CLEA) since 2014. After two successive agreements, the partners will position themselves in the summer of 2024 on the renewal of their commitment through a new generation CLEA contract extending over three school years. The latter will be a response adjusted to the reality and specificities of the territory.
