As an extension of the TRIO(S) program, Onda and SACD are partnering with the Caisse des Dépôts to propose for 2023 a section exclusively dedicated to choreographic emergence.

The TRIO(S) Emergence program aims to highlight emerging choreographic signatures, extend their presence in the territories as well as encourage both cooperation between places and real collaborations between these host structures and choreographers.

Programme objectives/eligibility

The program concerns choreographers who have created between 1 and 7 choreographic pieces according to 2 options:

  • either 1 emerging choreographer and 1 multidisciplinary venue broadcast at least 2 works with 3 or more performances
  • 1 emerging choreographer and 2 venues (multidisciplinary or dedicated: dance festival, CCN, CDCN, etc.) broadcast at least 1 work with 3 or more performances.

TRIO(S) strand emergence thus makes it possible to financially support subsidized structures, located in a coherent geographical area, at least one of which is in partnership with Onda. Among these structures, project leaders can be co-producers of shows.

Proposed Support

TRIO(S) and TRIO(S) strand emergence are endowed with € 240,000 per year, co-financed equally by the patronage of the Caisse des Dépôts, SACD and ONDA. The selection committee is identical for both parts of the TRIO(S) programme and meets twice a year.

The Caisse des Dépôts has been developing a patronage policy for dance in France for over thirty years. The Dance sponsorship program dedicates its support to projects that facilitate the professional integration of emerging choreographers and the discovery of dance by young audiences. He thus accompanies the young talents who will contribute tomorrow to the development of the artistic and cultural life of all territories. It also helps to sensitize new audiences to dance by reinforcing the structuring of the sector’s economy.
