What is the principle behind this call for applications?
Motivated by the desire to reduce inequalities in access to art and culture, by setting an ambitious goal of generalizing arts and cultural education for children, adolescents, young adults and, Beyond this, the Community of Municipalities of Inland Flanders (CCFI) and its partners have committed themselves to a local arts education contract by contributing to the formation of their artistic and cultural education programmes.
Around the project «In search of the Senses», it will be a question of what we are and what we want to be... on how to put humanity at the heart of our concerns. These 4 mission residences are divided into 2 mission residences «art-sport-culture» and 2 «art et nature».
Residences-mission «art-sport-culture»
In the context of the 2024 Olympic Games, the CCFI and its partners wish to take advantage of this great event to question the links between Art and Sport in singular forms and in co-construction with the actors of the territory.
Questioning the movement, the body at stake, the performance, the difference, the commitment, the citizenship, the tension, the confrontation, this residence could make it possible to take an innovative look at the links Art-Sport-Culture by making use of one or several artistic mediums.
Art and Nature Mission Residences
The CCFI has the ambition to set up a festival of land art and contemporary art that will offer ephemeral and monumental works installed on the essential sites of Interior Flanders. The enhancement of natural heritage and the promotion of contemporary art are at the heart of this future event. A dozen works will enhance and enhance the natural heritage of Inland Flanders.
