The community of communes Pays d'Opale and its partners launch a call for applications for two residencies-missions, directed towards artists, in all fields of expression, interested in immersion in the heart of a territory in all its environmental, social and cultural components.
What is the principle behind this call for applications?
Driven by the desire to reduce inequalities in access to art and culture, the community of communes Pays d'Opale has set itself the ambitious goal of generalizing, in its territory, arts and cultural education for all ages and socio-professional categories and thus contributing to the formation of their artistic and cultural education pathway.
The partners are able to launch this offer knowing that they can rely on the collective strength and energy of the many local actors of arts and cultural education, true multipliers, whether they are professionals of culture, teachers, facilitators, educators, mediators, social workers, health professionals, etc.
In this context, the Community of Communes, in close partnership with the Hauts-Alpes Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs,of France, the rectorate of the academy of Lille – regional delegation for arts and cultural education and the departmental direction of the services of national education and the departmental council of Pas-de-Calais proposes two mission residencies for two artists, of all domains of expression, interested in immersion in the heart of a territory and in all its components (environmental, social and cultural).
For this new edition of CLEA throughout life, the community wanted a theme related to the preparation of the 2024 Olympic Games: «On the way to the Olympic Games. Opal Land, Playground».
The period of residence is foreseen from January 15, 2024 to May 11, 2024. This is a residence of four full months, or seventeen weeks, of physical presence (or 90 days) to be distributed over the period of residence which includes a week of immersion in the territory from November 4 to 9, 2023.
