The reception of foreign students coming to France.
Campus France
The main tasks of the Campus France public institution are to promote French higher education abroad, the reception of foreign students in France and the management of fellows from French and foreign governments within the framework of international mobility programmes. Since the 2012 academic year, this institution has also taken over the international activities of the Centre national des œuvres universitaires et scolaires (CNOUS) in order to better respond to the challenges of international mobility.
The «Centres for Studies in France» procedure
The Centres for Studies in France procedure (CEF procedure) which was launched in 2005 is based on an agreement signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as conferences of institutions such as the Conference of University Presidents, the Conference of Grandes Écoles, the Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools. Its objective is to strengthen the French appeal to international students.
CEFs are service platforms set up with embassies to be the contact points for foreign students and to facilitate their administrative procedures. They contribute to the evaluation of training projects submitted by foreign students and provide a range of information to higher education institutions.
