In view of the broad lines of this agreement, including the precise terms
remain confidential, the Minister welcomes that it is based on
recognition of copyright principles and guarantees the
right holders' mastery of the digitization process and the price of
marketing of works.

However, the Minister recalls the extreme importance he attaches to the
conclusion of negotiations with other publishers, so that
balanced solutions based on the same principles:
accessible to the great diversity of French publishers.

The Minister has repeatedly reminded the leaders of
Google the importance it attaches to this topic and the priority it gives,
before any collaboration of Google with the big institutions
like the National Library of France, that the
respect for the rights of authors and publishers.
