The Ministry of Culture is organizing the next edition of the Rendez-vous aux jardins, Friday, May 31 (a day specifically dedicated to schools), Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, on the theme «the five senses in the garden».
This theme allows to perceive the gardens through hearing, smell, touch, sight and taste.
This edition offers a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover the art of gardens that open their doors to share thousands of cultural and educational events with demonstrations, concerts, shows, exhibitions, night openings…
Here are some suggestions for listening to all your senses… in the most diverse, remarkable gardens, animated by their owners, gardeners or cities and countries of art and history mobilized.
A remarkable garden, Salagon is an open-air manual that combines aesthetic creation, educational tools and a place for the conservation of plants and knowledge.
Many guided tours are on the program as well as workshops and conferences: On June 1st from 15h to 15h45: Emmanuelle Déchelette conference with olive oil tasting. On June 1st from 16h to 17h, «the taste of the olive» dialogue between C. Lavelle and E. Déchelette. On June 2 from 10am to 7pm: activities for young people: workshop «Les couleurs et le chant des oiseaux avec la LPO, workshops «Odoratissima», «Touche sans voir», «Jardin de couleurs», «mini explorers», Collec-sons, «Flowers in the mouth», «Musical awakening for small ears». On June 2 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm: workshop: «Voyage en dessins». On June 2nd from 11am to 12:30pm and from 3pm to 4:30pm: recipe gathering workshop with the poet Yoann Thommerel. On June 2 at 11:30, «Landscapes and heritage of the olive tree: Meeting with Frédéric Joulian, anthropologist (EHESS, laboratory CREDO) and Stéphane Anglès, geographer (University of Lorraine), moderated by Julie Deramond (Avignon University). On June 2nd at 14h, 14h45 and 15h30: workshop climbs before the airline dance show «Têtes Bêches».

This historic garden invites you to discover the food and medicinal plants, wild or cultivated, local or sometimes imported, used since Vauban. It illustrates the feeding and refueling of a mountain stronghold from the eighteenth to the present day.
You will discover it on Saturday, June 1st through a guided visit at 10am, a sensory journey "Reveille tes pieds" as well as a small animation "taste and smell" and a concert of sacred songs in the late afternoon.

This botanical park, classified Historical Monument, remains one of the most varied of the Côte d'Azur. The park brings together harmoniously Mediterranean species as well as plants from Central and Eastern Europe.
Discover it with guided tours on the theme of the five senses or medicinal plants on May 31 and June 1, and through a treasure hunt for all audiences on June 1.

In 5 places, archival documents and photographs, drawings and sketches, allow to dream in the tree-lined paths and to understand the complex irrigation system, to stroll under an exceptional thistle, to be seduced by the scents of the rose garden and to discover the stages of a restoration today still at its beginnings.

This garden is a sensitive natural space that hosts a plant heritage of rare beauty, from the East, Far East, Africa, America and Oceania.

The rose garden of Gérenton is a Mediterranean garden of old roses that includes in one place a garden of old roses, a Mediterranean garden and a nursery specializing in old roses.
