Cinema, audiovisual and multimedia
The DRAC provides information, advice, evaluation and monitoring for all sectors, including the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée.
Thus, in close connection with the various departments of the NCC, the DRAC is required to intervene both in the field of regulation and in those of creation, economy, broadcasting, film heritage and artistic education of the public.
For the record, the CNC centralizes and manages financial support for the film industry. It provides support for the creation and production of films for cinemas and television. It also supports the creation and renovation of cinemas, the diffusion of auteur cinema and cinematographies that are not very popular. It sets up national programs to raise awareness of cinema in schools and to protect and preserve film heritage.
As a decentralized service of the State, the DRAC, for its part, directly supports a number of regional outreach actions as well as actions to raise audiences' awareness of cinema.
It also monitors and evaluates the State’s contractual policy under the agreements signed with the Regional Councils, particularly projects financed by the Regional Production Assistance Funds.
It is also the privileged interlocutor of cinema operators and local authorities.
The Action of the DRAC

- in the field of digital technology, it intervenes through the appraisal of national schemes (DICREAM, national calls for projects, European funding), by supporting structures implementing training actions for audiences in digital creative practices, artistic production and experimentation as well as the dissemination of digital arts in all their forms.
More generally, it coordinates the development of a common intervention policy in the digital field (new reception and support mechanisms for cultural projects) and monitors digital cultural practices.
