Michaël Dian was born in Marseille. However, the Hautes-Alpes eventually imbued his identity over the summers of his childhood. “ This territory has its own rich and inspiring cultural resources. The musicians who come here are put in dialogue with this richness and find true reciprocity in the exchange ” he says. “The result is relationships, a mindset that allows for “ make gestures that question, because these places facilitate the encounter. Musicians fully invest in villages, marketplaces, party halls, the forest… The Chaillol Festival brings one concert a day in each commune ". Beyond the festival, the pianist founded the Espace Culturel de Chaillol to fully integrate music into the direct environment of the inhabitants.
Living together time and space

Thus, meetings, workshops with specific audiences and with children unfold throughout the year.
« We invest the places that are already lived on a daily basis and this brings the artistic gesture back to its deeper meaning of artisanal gesture. Artists spend a week with us, which is a long time for those who are used to jumping from a taxi to a plane in the space of 24 hours… They live to the rhythm of the places and the inhabitants.
