The DRAC Pays has brought together at the Lieu unique in Nantes all the cultural places (labels, conventioned scenes, intermediary places) and artistic teams that it accompanies.
This plan is based on several observations, including that of an excess of productions in the artistic creation sector and a lack of dissemination. A situation amplified by the health crisis and then the inflationary crisis, which imposes us, in view of the ongoing changes (ecological and digital transitions; requirement for parity and diversity) and the difficulties of local authorities to maintain their financing, to reshape the way we do things.
An exchange around 4 main themes
In this perspective, the participants worked, in workshop format, around 4 themes:
1. Better produce
2. Better disseminate
3. Supporting Transitions
4. Reaffirm the missions
A 5th workshop allowed the specificities of the visual arts to be taken into account in relation to live performance.
Alain Van der Malière, former director of theatre and shows at the Ministry of Culture and great witness of the day focused on the debates, nourished by his long experience of cultural policies within the State services, in ministerial office but also in territorial collectivity,
These exchanges around the plan "Better produce, better disseminate" will continue with elected officials and the services of the territorial collectivities, essential partners in the department’s reflection on our production and dissemination models in the creative field.
A reflection that will continue in spring 2024
Appointments are also made with all participants at these meetings, in spring 2024, to continue with them reflection and exchange on the implementation of the plan.
