Raise your eyes!
Starting Friday, September 15, the school public will be able to participate in the operation «Raise your eyes!» in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Students will discover or rediscover the heritage of their region to learn its history and specificities, sensitized to the importance of its protection and enhancement.
"Look up!" offers students the opportunity to take another look at their daily living environment and its heritage dimension, to discover professions, know-how and to become aware of the importance of preserving the common good that constitutes our tangible and intangible heritage.
Theme 2023: “Living Heritage” and “Sports Heritage”
«Living Heritage» refers to practices, expressions, knowledge and know-how transmitted from one generation to another that are constantly recreated such as songs, dances, rituals, festivals, traditional crafts or knowledge related to nature and the universe.
In view of the Cultural Olympiad and the Olympic Year, a second theme «Heritage of sport» is highlighted. The sports heritage has clearly developed with the increase in sports practices (evolution of old or new practices), mainly in the early twentieth century.
Events in Pays de la Loire
In Pays de la Loire, the program promises to be particularly rich and varied with more than 2100 original and very diversified events: guided tours, presentation of restoration, demonstrations of know-how, heritage circuit or architecture, concerts, theatrical tour…
