Remarkable gardens in Centre-Val de Loire

The label distinguishes between a park or garden open to the public and of cultural, aesthetic, historical or botanical interest, the purpose of which is not primarily commercial. This interest must be complemented by an exemplary, environmentally-friendly interview and an attentive welcome to the visitor.
This device offers the advantage of going beyond the strict framework of historic gardens by offering a wider scope of application. The label meets the criteria of requirement on the composition (organization of spaces), the integration in the site and the quality of the surroundings, the remarkable elements (water, factories, plant architectures, etc.), etc. It takes into account the diversity of parks and gardens, and may concern small or large gardens and all styles.
The remarkable garden label was created in 2004 by the Ministry of Culture. Its implementation is based on the circular of 26 October 2008 relating to the label "remarkable garden.
