Include a cultural practice in the National Inventory
Requests for inclusion in the CIP National Inventory are made through the Ministry of Culture.
Launched in March 2008, theICP Inventory in France aims to identify living practices, with the help of communities, groups and individuals. The purpose of this National Inventory is to meet the obligations of the Convention but also to provide a knowledge tool available to all audiences. It is in this sense published online here.
Mainly made up of descriptive sheets, it is produced by holders and practitioners themselves most often with the collaboration of researchers in ethnology.
The Department of Research, Valorisation, PCI (DRVPCI) of the delegation to the Inspection, Research and Innovation (Directorate-General for Assets and Architecture) is responsible for coordinating the inventories, in collaboration with the departments concerned by the Convention for the Safeguarding of the ICP.
