A major event on the global architecture agenda
The International Real Estate Market is a strategic annual meeting for local authorities, developers and real estate professionals. The MIPIM is an opportunity for meetings and exchanges on the methods and know-how of each with regard to the development and transformation of the real estate sector, particularly towards more sustainable practices. Since 1990, this major event has brought together more than 25,000 participants and nearly 4,000 exhibitors.
A multi-partner stand dedicated to the influence of French architecture players
The organizations represented alongside the Ministry of Culture on the France Architecture stand – to be found at #R7.G23 Riviera Location 7 - Are: Architectes français à l'export (AFEX), Conseil national de l'ordre des architectes (CNOA), Mutuelle des architectes français (MAF), Opérateur du patrimoine et des projets immobiliers de la culture (OPPIC), Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage (AMO), the Fédération nationale des Conseils d'architecture, d'urbanisme et de l'environnement (FNCAUE), the Réseau des maisons de l'architecture (RMA) and the Union des architectes francophones pour la santé (UAFS).
An approach to promote French architecture nationally and internationally
Through its presence alongside its partners, the Ministry of Culture intends to reaffirm the role of architecture at the heart of the ecological transition and the challenges it entails. It aims to make real estate stakeholders aware of the concepts of architectural quality, quality of use and durability of buildings. This ministerial presence also promotes the linking of architects with potential sponsors, in France and internationally.
A programme of interventions in the face of contemporary challenges
On this occasion, the Ministry is deploying, with the support of its partners, a 3-day program that includes:
- Tuesday 12 March from 14h30 to 15h45 - Innovation at the service of the environment | This round table will discuss ecology and heritage to bring out innovative proposals in favor of an architecture able to meet the climate challenges of our time.
- Wednesday 13 March from 10h30 to 11h45 - Young talents of architecture and landscape | A sequence will be dedicated to 12 winners of the Albums des jeunes architectes et paysagistes (AJAP) and Autres voies de l'architecture 2023, who will present their work.
- Wednesday 13 March from 14h30 to 15h45 - Rehabilitation, a lever for ecological transition? | Through a cross presentation of 3 winning projects of the réHAB XXth prize including one led by the architect Philippe Prost, Grand Prix national de l'architecture 2022, The ministry will continue to affirm the role of architects at the heart of the challenges to meet the challenges of the ecological transition.
- Wednesday 13 March from 16h to 17h15 - The architect facing major projects | This conversation will place at the forefront of the discussions the issues specific to public procurement. The round table will be structured around the notion of a large urban project, such as the Hôpital Bicêtre du Grand Paris Express station, the Mediterranean Institute of the City and Territories but also the rehabilitation of the large nave of the Ile-des-Vannes in view of JOP 2024.
- Thursday 14 March from 10h30 to 11h45 - Speaking to the young generation of architects | From their experience as architecture students or young practitioners, participants will testify to their unique backgrounds and how they approach the exercise of the discipline in the light of the concerns of the young generation.
