Calls for projects and applications, grants
The device of «deconcentrated aids to the performing arts» (ADSV) constitutes the basis of the policy of the Ministry of Culture in favor of artistic teams. This system supports independent artists or artistic teams so that they can develop their creative work and benefit the widest possible audience. It contributes to the accompaniment of the artist’s or artistic team’s career in its creative dynamics with occasional or multi-year assistance.
Intended to support the creation and distribution to the public of live shows in the fields of dance, music, theatre, street arts and circus arts, the ADSV are divided into two financial aids: project aid and agreement.
The Research in Theatre and Associated Arts call for projects was designed to support research conducted by creative actors outside any immediate objective of creation or production of shows. The objective of the Ministry of Culture is to support the development of new forms of research led by artists, which allow to create new knowledge on the processes of creation and pedagogical practices, promote the enrichment of heritage and encourage technological innovations for creation.
Companionship is a device allowing a (e) director (e) in stage beginner (e) or author (e) to benefit from a process of accompaniment within a company. In this context, the authors are led to write an original work and the directors to present a model.
The aid is awarded, in addition to the deconcentrated support system for live performance (ADSV), to artistic teams working in the field of circus creation. It supports the production of major circus shows. The application must be filed with the Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC) whose head office reports to them. Applications are submitted by professional creative structures seeking additional funding for the production of their show and are part of a desire to renew writing and aesthetics.
National creation assistance for the street arts concerns projects in live performance, all disciplines combined, which take into account the public space. Applications are submitted by professional creative structures seeking additional funding for the production of large-scale shows and part of a desire to renew writing and aesthetics, in addition to the various Deconcentrated Live Performance Grants awarded in the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC). Applications for assistance are submitted to the DRAC, whose head office of the applicant structure reports.
