What is Support for the implementation of tutoring in higher education institutions Culture (ESC)?
The Ministry of Culture wishes to encourage tutoring and increase the number of students who benefit from it during their studies in ESC institutions. It is a matter of creating a privileged interpersonal link between two students which constitutes for one a commitment in the duration and for the other a support during its course.
The support focuses on the identified needs of the student and on themes such as orientation choices, pedagogical support, support for student life, the creation of a knowledge network, professional integration, or any other form of support.
The legal framework for the employment of student tutors is defined in the article L811-2 of the Education Code.
Students who volunteer to provide this support may receive a gratuity, without this generating consumption at the level of the employment ceiling (according to the rule defined in the guide to counting the employment of state operators p. 14).
Objectives of the approach
The objective of the initiative is to provide financial support to ESC institutions for the payment of tutors in order to promote the development of tutoring between students within the institutions.
