Label 100% Arts and Cultural Education
The 100% Artistic and Cultural Education (EAC) label is awarded to communities offering artistic and cultural education for 100% of the territory’s youth. This label is awarded by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Youth. The EAC label aims to involve every young person under the age of 18 in artistic and cultural life.

What is the 100% Arts and Cultural Education (EAC) label?
Created in 2021 by the High Council of Arts and Cultural Education, the 100% Arts and Cultural Education (EAC) label is the product of a new inter-ministerial plan.
The 100% EAC label distinguishes the communities that carry out an artistic and cultural education project for all young people in their territory. The label is a genuine vehicle for cultural democratization and equal opportunities and is awarded for a renewable period of five years.
What are the methods of awarding the 100% Artistic and Cultural Education label?
Communities wishing to obtain the 100% EAC label must engage around the three main pillars of arts and cultural education:
- knowledge, enabling students to appropriate cultural landmarks and develop critical thinking;
- artistic practice, enabling children to access the language of the arts and develop their creativity;
- the meeting with the works and with the artists, allowing to share the sensitive and to develop the curiosity of the youngest.
What are the benefits of the 100% Artistic and Cultural Education label?
The 100% Artistic and Cultural Education label gives national visibility to the commitment of communities. In particular, it helps to strengthen the coherence of action, mobilize other partners, sustain the mechanisms and develop new projects.
However, there is no additional subsidy.
How to apply?
Communities wishing to receive the 100% Arts and Cultural Education label must prepare an application file for allocation including:
- a self-assessment, by the territories themselves wishing to engage in the process of generalization of the EAC. This self-assessment must explicitly formulate the strategy to achieve 100% EAC over a period of 5 years;
- the decision to label 100% EAC is jointly taken and co-signed, after consulting the departments concerned, by the regional prefect and the rector of academy.
