In the field of books and reading
The DRAC follows the entire process from the author to the reader. It promotes the development of public and private structures for the dissemination of books, writing and documentation, it supports operations for the promotion of books and public reading, and literary creation and actions to combat illiteracy, it allocates grants to local authorities, associations and cultural actors working to broaden the audiences of books and public reading, to actions to modernize independent bookshops and publishing houses, Outreach to library professionals.
The DRAC ensures the presentation of written heritage by encouraging local authorities to better preserve and promote it.

The DRAC intervenes on the whole of the animated images sector in Ile-de-France. Working with professional structures, associations, local and regional authorities and other State departments, it provides information, advice, analysis and impetus. Through numerous mechanisms, the DRAC directly supports the dissemination of works and public awareness.
