Supported by the Orléans-Tours Academy and the Centre-Val de Loire Region, this event created in 2020 aims to promote professions little or little known to the general public as well as exceptional heritage know-how, sometimes threatened with decline due to lack of vocations. Thus, the objective is not only to support middle school students in their orientation, but also to support the attractiveness of sectors related to heritage, crafts and tourism.
This edition of «meetings of know-how» brought together about forty professionals, professional federations, the Regional Chamber of Trades and Crafts, the Regional Chamber of Agriculture and a dozen training institutions of the CenterVal de Loire which proposed a treasure hunt, speed-meeting of the orientation, meetings with craftsmen but also workshops and demonstrations on various know-how: stone cutting, leather goods, landscape, tapestry, kitchen, service, bakery, viticulture, shoe-making, watchmaking...
This year, as part of the Culture-Justice convention, the event welcomed a group of 16 young people from the structures of the Territorial Directorates Centre Orléans and Touraine Berry of Judicial Protection of Youth (DPJJ).
