The colloquium will present the liturgy of the dedication of a religious building, and its exegesis, and will honor clerics working in the liturgical life of the cathedral in the Middle Ages.
Temple of God, the cathedral is also a temple of stones whose DRAC must ensure the preservation and transmission to future generations. The questions of conservation-restoration of such a building and the material studies it has prompted in recent years will be developed.
Benefiting from the work of the scientific project of Notre-Dame de Paris, the conference will also analyze the links between this major building and Saint-Étienne de Bourges.
The symposium is dedicated to the memory of Philippe Bardelot († 2023), curator of antiques and works of art of the Cher who worked for many years to preserve and study the cathedral and its movable objects.
