Why the National School of Decorative Arts?
The National School of Decorative Arts works on home arts, the arts of living and living, the decorative arts that are the ancestors of design: always in touch with our living environments, they are the arts of their time, its challenges and challenges. Based on this mission, the School of Decorative Arts launched the Rural Worlds Design program at Nontron in 2021.
Design of the Territories...
«Design des Territoires» is a program linking 6 typologies of environments (rural, urban, island, etc.) and dedicated to the development of territories through design, in response to local issues perceived by field actors:
- Design of the Rural Worlds/ Périgord - Dordogne
- Design of the Mountain Worlds/ Massif Central
- Design of Forest Worlds/ Northern Vosges
- Design of the Coastal Worlds/ Brittany
- Design of Urban Worlds/ Parisian Metropolis
... At the Reunion "Design of Island Worlds"
In September 2024 opens in Reunion Island the post-master «Design of Island Worlds». Endemic issues such as natural risk management, economic revitalization of traditional know-how or territorial continuity policies can serve as a basis for artistic work.
This training is organized over an academic year, from September 2024 to June 2025, around three immersion study projects. This is a post-master level programme, which brings together 6 to 8 young graduates or high-level professionalsThe post-master level guarantees a high level of competence and commitment.
Two criteria are taken into account for the evaluation of applications:
Be under 31 years of age at 31 December 2024
· Holders of a Master 2 on 1 September or with at least 3 years of professional experience in the fields of design, architecture, landscape design or humanities and technical sciences (sociology, anthropology, geography, environmental engineering, agronomist, etc.) with knowledge of investigative methods.
